Help Support the 2010 Strong Kids Campaign!

Each year the Frankfort YMCA raises funds to financially support children and families in the community so that they may participate in programs and memberships.  This year our goal is to raise $100,000 and we need your help.  Please consider making a donation by using the link below.  Together we can make a difference.

Did you know that the YMCA is the largest non-profit provider of childcare in the United States? We offer a safe, fun, supervised environment with well-trained staff. And our four core values—caring, honesty, respect and responsibility—are the foundation of all our childcare programs.

(Ages 6 weeks to 5 years)
Providing quality, affordable care for your children isn’t just a business with us at the YMCA. It’s our mission—a vital part of our commitment to the community. It’s an approach that includes unique programs to make sure kids stay motivated—intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.  Visit our
Crayon Club page for more details.

  • We are fully licensed and all programs meet or exceed the Kentucky State Cabinet for Health and Family Services guidelines.
  • Children are safe while under responsible, trained, adult supervision. We have superior child/adult ratios, and dedicated staff who listen to your needs.
  • Nutritious breakfasts, lunches and snacks are served to provide energy for a successful day.
  • We nurture a warm and loving relationship with each child.
  • We make sure that personal attention, as well as smiles and giggles, are a big part of your child’s day.
  • In our early pre-school classrooms we encourage students to use their words to problem-solve and communicate. They learn days, weather, numbers and shapes.
  • Children develop communication, reasoning and problem-solving skills through play, interaction with other children, and exploration of their environment.
  • Teachers plan engaging educational activities mixed with group games, exercise and free time.

(Kindergarten to 5th Grade)
School-Age Care is an exciting and challenging place, where children in grades K through 5 stretch their skills in mind and body. Kids have the chance to express their talents creatively and constructively in arts and humanities activities, science, service learning, health & fitness, homework support, literacy, character development and conflict resolution. Kids find out what success is all about in an “everybody plays, everybody wins” approach.

Our after school program provides a fun, educational, and safe environment for kids where they can participate in sports, games, art projects, and other exciting activities.

Registration and health history forms can be obtained from your local YMCA. Additional information can be found on our After
School page.

Our Summer Day Camp offers a wide variety of activities, such as group games, daily character developments, snack, lunch, arts & crafts and exciting field trips.  Additional information can be found on our Summer Camp page.
